Good Jeans

This is how I feel in my jeans righty, right now....

And, if I catch a glimpse from the back, I feel like this...

Eh..

So, I am on a mission this morning.
I am heading out with Kiddo 1 and Kiddo 2 to the
big, beautiful, MOA. {Mall of America}

This should be fun.
Trying on jeans, in the dead of winter, after having a baby 9.5 months ago, all while convincing 2 kids that it is fun to stay in your huge, double-stroller while you watch Mommy strip down to her thong.

I have gotten some recommendations from people, but I will take more!
That means COMMENTS, people.
I am looking for dark{slimming}, long {cuz I'm 5'9"}, and not super low-rise {cuz I bend over for the babies}, but I am still cool enough to know, I don't want to look like Jessica in "Mom" jeans.  Oh, and I do NOT do skinny jeans.

Cuz, this is what a good pair of jeans does for Jessica...

For all you people, that are set in the jeans dept, here is a video.

It was dug up from the archives.  This is Branmuffin finding out the sex of our second baby, Turner.  He was the size of a peanut in my belly at the time.  We were at my friend Beth's house, she is a baby freak, so she screamed the loudest!  Note how tiny Tatum was.  What was I thinking, getting knocked up when I already had a 10 month old baby?

This week, that lil' peanut became a Big Boy! He refuses baby food now, is getting his top, front tooth in, pulling up on all furniture, and Nana taught him "Soooo Big" so he does that non-stop.

So Stinkin' Cute!

I remember the day of that video... I watched it while "The Cartmill Family" listened via the phone. It was awesome.
You will find jeans that fit awesome. You are to hard on your self...

Eeeeew jean shopping with kids in tow....wowza! You are a brave woman! That is a solo activity or go with a trusted sister or friend. Good luck! (Although I honestly feel you can work anything you put on so........)

And the video....freakin' priceless! So wish we would have had the camera rolling when we found out for all three of ours!

Ooooh, have fun with that. I HATE trying on jeans as much as bathing suits.

I love my seven dojo's though....if I HAVE to wear jeans that is.

And I'd love them more if they had drawstring waits. =)

You're hilarious! Oh man, jeans shopping is my fav...I LOVE a good pair of dark jeans. I would have to say it's my weakness. :)

Have fun!

P.S. Are you guys coming to lunch Sunday? Hope to see you!

Jeans and bra shopping are the worst to bring your lovely darlings along for the ride, dont you think?!

Good luck in the jeans department. My favorite jeans are from the Gap, I think they are the 'curvy" jeans. I have the opposite problem you have since I am only 5'4". Yours are capri lenght while mine drag on the ground with a pair of 4inch heels!! :) I like them because I have some curves and they dont gap at the back and show my fanny and I think they come in lengths(short for me, hehe).
Good luck!

Jeans shopping was a success! Even my hubs said my a$$ looks TIGHT!
p.s. The secret to shopping of any sort with kids in tow... a portable d.v.d. player in the dressing room - and a lovely sales associate willing to bring you sizes, colors, etc.

I love the video. What a fun idea. BTW, have you paid any attention to what John Mayer has been saying about Jessica Simpson lately?

Oh my. That shot of Jessica...what was she thinking? Nick and I were laughing hysterically at those pics just because, um, wow. And then your comments on top of it. I told Nick that I check Suzanne's blog like I would read the paper if we got one. So see, you ARE a writer.

You crack me up. And there's nothing more brave than shopping with kids in tow... ESPECIALLY if you're actually looking and doing more than just window shopping to get out of the house. You'll have to let us know how it turned out!
