B Has a Beard

I'm not gonna tell you what I think....
but, I want to know what you think!

Do you like Brandon in a beard?
He insists on keeping it.

See the survey to the top of the blog on the right?
Vote please....and pass this blog to your friends,
I need tons of votes!

Heck, while you are at it become a follower,
because we have a contest {Branmuffin and I}
on both the beard and the follower numbers....I currently have.
To become a follower, all you have to
do is, click on follow on the right sidebar,
then set up a google account.
Super easy.

Leave a comment on whatever you think of beards.
Sorry, so boring, I'm trying to stay impartial.

Elizabeth Edwards R.I.P.

I never get political on this blog.
Not that I don't stand up for what I believe in,
but this needs to be a happy place for people
to come to.

This is a sad time for Elizabeth Edwards'
family.  Mostly, I feel for her children.
I always feel for the children in any situation,
because they don't ask for a lot of things that
people put them through...especially their own parents.

I thought this picture showed her at her best....being a Momma.

I just hope John Edwards gets his crap together and
puts his kids first in life going forward....for
their sake and so that Elizabeth can rest in peace.

Wow, just had to get that off of my chest, John!!

It's coming along....

When we got back from Turner's well check today,
I had a house full of sunshine!
I decided to take advantage of the light and
snap some pics of one of my favorite
parts of the house.

My Dad built this cabinet for my Mom a few
years back.  It was a center island in her kitchen,
but it didn't work for them and was in their basement
collecting dust.

When we moved into the new place, I asked
if I could have it.

 Isn't it perfect?
It wasn't, it had gold hardware
and rather than replace the hardware,
we spray painted it when we were on a kick of
spray painting the other night!

And it makes me love it even more.
Then I just grabbed stuff that I had around the house
and made the colors coordinate.

The mirror comes from Home Goods, and it
was on clearance for $29, so I think that's pretty good
especially when you have a gift card.

I wanted to make it like the bar area I did in my recent decor project.
Just a bit more kid friendly!

What do you think?
Are you loving the sunshine today?
I sure am!
