4th of July

I've had a bit of a bloggy break....
and like all vacas, I feel better now, thanks for asking.

I've just had a ton going on lately and with summer weather,
blogging takes a break to my other commitments.
So, thanks for understanding.
Everyone needs a hiatus....love that word.

We had a relaxing 4th of July.
We decided its gonna be a few years until we enjoy fireworks and all of the
festivities with our kids.
We know they would love it, but keeping them up till all hours
and dealing with crabbiness the next day, just is NOT worth it.

{Cascade Bay}

So, we stayed around here and hit the water park and the beach.
Our kids are our own little school of fish.
They love water!

We had some friends over and Tatum got Pop Rocks,
remember those from when you were a kid?

And Brandmuffin gave us our own mini fireworks show,
check out the action shot!

Something happens to men when they light off fireworks,
they like to give a show, and fire must make them feel powerful....
cuz, he made a name up for each one and announced it before he lit it.

Turner is figuring out that he can walk at 14.5 months....

Which means he is into everything.....hence my need for bloggy breaks!

Toodles, my understanding friends of this grand blog world!

  1. LOVE LOVE LOVE the part about your two kids being your own school of fish! You are wise parents to pare things down for a few years. It's just easier and best for everyone!!

  3. Welcome back to blogging. I missed you and my morning read. I am so surprised Scooter lite the fireworks himself. He used to have his fearless brother do it for him when he was a kid. LOL I know he is a grown man now and has let go of his fear for fireworks for his family. Way to go Scooter. I miss you all. Love the pictures too.

  5. To be honest... on the 4th, I was trying to calm Joe down and put him to bed, but he was all confused about all the fireworks noise, B wanted to stay up and watch them, but when they were finally going, she was scared of the fire in the sky, and had to medicate our dog because she hates the noise. Independence Day is not a young child holiday!!!
